Sauerkraut soup with smoked meat and plums

Ingredients for 6

1 kg kysané zelí
3 cibule
500 g uzené maso
200 g sušené švestky
200 g sušené fazole (optional)
500 g brambory (optional)
2 tbsp sladká paprika (v prášku)
1 tsp pálivá paprika (v prášku)
6 pc bobkový list
12 pc nové koření
24 pc pepř celý

Preparation

  1. (opt) Put beans in cold water (overnight) then boil separately, add whenever ready
  2. (opt) Boil potatoes separately, add when the soup is ready
  3. Chop & fry onions in a large bowl
  4. Add hot water
  5. Add sauerkraut, spices, smoked meat
  6. Boil for a long time
  7. Add pulms 20 minutes before serving
